Mumbai: The Maharashtra Private Universities ( Establishment and Regulation ) Amendment Bill , 2024, was passed in the council on Thursday after including DY Patil Dnyan Prasad University, Pune, and Sanjivani University, Kopargaon, in Part II of the schedule. The government was satisfied that the sponsoring bodies of both universities had complied with the provisions of the act.

Govt set to issue ordinance to amend Sec 19 of TCP Act, insert sub-section
The government will issue an ordinance to amend Section 19 of the Town and Country Planning Act. This is to enable the TCP department to follow ODPs and validate prior approvals. The high court granted interim relief and ordered the North Goa district office to follow the Regional Plan-2021.
CUET UG 2024: List of Central Universities Offering Admissions Through This Exam
The Ministry of Education has implemented the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions across Central Universities. The examination will be conducted in a hybrid mode and will be available in 13 languages. A total of 44 Central Universities will be accepting the CUET UG 2024 scores, including prominent universities in Uttar Pradesh.
