This Law amends the Management of Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land Law, 2012. It amends sub-sections (b), (c), (d), (f) and (m) of section 2, which includes the definition of Virgin Land. It substitutes sub-section (a) of section 3 relating to formation of Central Committee for management of vacant, fallow and virgin land and inserts a new section 3-A regarding Management Committees. Further, the Law amends section 5 by inserting a new sub-section (f). A new section 5-A relating to landless citizens and small farm holders is added after section 5. Sections 8-A and 8-B in respect of application for right to cultivate are inserted after section 8. The Law further amends sections 9, 10 & 11 and new sections 10-A and 11-A are inserted. Sections 17, 22, 25, 27, 28 and 33 are also amended. New sections 27-A, 29-A and 30-A are inserted after sections 27, 29 and 30, respectively.
